Tanqueray was developed over 180 years ago by Charles Tanqueray, a clergyman's son who chose not to follow the family calling and instead opened a distillery in Bloomsbury, London. It wasn't until 2000, that Tanqueray No. TEN was released. Named after the small copper pot-still ("Tiny Ten") that are used to produce the spirit, Tanqueray No. TEN has spent the last two decades becoming a perennial favorite among passionate bartenders and gin enthusiasts.
